The Dogwood Team

I'm the Owner and General Contractor for Dogwood Home Improvement.

The business was really started by accident; with two people working from home and a new baby on the way some more space was needed ASAP, leading to the very first Dogwood Home Office build. Dogwood's purpose is to provide regular people who just need more space a reasonable alternative to playing the real estate market in search of a bigger house, or spending a fortune on the headache of home additions and major renovations.

I bring a unique perspective to the building profession with a background in visual design and architecture. I received my Bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University's College of Design, where I studied everything from fine art to animation as well as classical and contemporary architectural design. Before Dogwood, I worked as a graphic designer for national brands such as Coca-Cola, and bring along the sharp eye for aesthetics and visual appeal honed in these roles.
