The Process From Start to Finish
Initial Site Visit + Selecting Size & Location
A Dogwood professional builder will take a look at your lot and discuss what your goals are with the build. This will help determine the size of studio you need and where to place it. Some basic information about design will also be gathered to start the process of crafting the perfect studio for your personalized needs.
Selecting Your Style & Finishes
We'll send you a step-by-step guide on selecting the overall style of the building as well as the fine details: siding material and color, shingle colors, doors and windows, interior wall colors, flooring, and more. This is the fun part where your vision is brought to life, and we will prepare a high quality rendering of the final proposal so you can see the end result.
Permitting
With your idea fully dreamed out we will handle applying for permits and working with the inspection department to get everything ready to build. No stress on your part, let us take care of that for you.
Foundation
We do any site prep necessary and lay the foundation as the first step in construction. The work only lasts a couple days, but the concrete must be allowed to harden for up to 30 days before building can start for maximum strength.
The Build Phase
Your custom studio will come together quickly from here. We work with the building department on regular inspections to ensure top notch work and compliance with all local codes. Our high-quality and professional sub-contractors will treat your project as if it is their own home they're working on.
Interior Decoration
The final phase of bringing your studio to life, proper styling and decoration can make the difference between a cozy space and an uninviting box. We offer several options for ways to design your ideal interior space, from a simple idea board you can use as a guide when purchasing decor to a luxury full service design package.
